AURORA BOREALIS shawl

Shawl was created as a gift for northern lights lover. I decided that the character of the aurora borealis would be best expressed by the echo weave. Warps in navy blue and green, pink and blue intertwine to create a wavy pattern on the shawl. The tails were delicately embellished with handspun inlays by Wełna ręcznie przędziona (Handspun wool), and finished with a colourful hemstitch and mixed fringes.
