DESOLATION
A wrap born of fire, inspired by one of the most famous dragons in literature - Smaug. Warp dyed in gradation runs from black into glowing red, orange and yellow and is highlited with pooling weft in corresponding colours of black, red and orange. I used a delicate draft, which reminds me of fire tongues and dragon's scales. Nonsymetrical tails are decorated with single blocks of colour, handspun inlays, double-sided embroidery and leno laces with beads.
